I've got NEW SERIES NEWS!!

THE BAD BOYS OF THE BAYOU are here!!

So...I’ve been published for over a decade and have written a lot of books in that time. I actually don’t know how many. I’ve counted a few times before but there are short stories and novellas, bonus material, things that have gone out of print, or been re-worked…and I don’t know how to count all of that. I usually say, “over fifty books” and figure that’s safe.

But in all of that vagueness there are a few things that have become what I call my “orphans” over the years. Books and stories that don’t really belong anywhere specific anymore. I was first published with Samhain Publishing which has since closed its doors, and all of those books came back to me, including stand-alone stories that didn’t connect with anything else. I’ve also had some really amazing opportunities to participate in various projects and events and series for which I’ve written a story (or stories) and I’ve enjoyed them all! But projects end, and opportunities shift. So, over the years, projects, series, and publishers have come and gone. But the stories are still alive and well. They just don’t really fit anywhere.

So I finally decided that I needed to give them a home. And a new chance to meet readers! They needed a new place to live. But I needed to put them all together and give them a connection to one another since they didn’t have other connections.

And, where else would I make this new home than Louisiana?

Now I couldn’t just bring these people (some of whom I’ve known since before I was published!) to Autre, the home of my other Louisiana books. They don’t quite fit there. They have a different vibe. They came from a little different Erin Nicholas. Not totally different, of course. My voice and style have always been pretty consistent. But these stories are a little grittier. More emotional. The people have a little more baggage than the Boys (and girls) of the Bayou or the people of Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild. They’re also a little dirtier. There’s always open-door sex scenes in my books, but in Bad, Louisiana, there are just more of them. So these books just have a little different feel. And they needed their own home. Their own place to live and be what they are rather than trying to fit into something else.

So, I present to you Bad, Louisiana. A collection of books that have existed in Erin Nicholas world for a long time but have been rewritten and edited to fit together now in a new town, with some new friends, for a second chance to meet readers and bring even more love stories to the Louisiana bayou!

I hope you enjoy them as much as I did when I first wrote them and loved them again going back for this reimagining.
